Battambang Residents Hand Over Found Bombs and Weapons to Authorities

BATTAMBANG: Residents of Sangkat Svay Pok, Battambang City, Battambang Province, have found numerous unexploded ordnances and one defective weapon, which have since been handed over to the authorities.

The ammunition and defective weapons found included a Soviet-made AK rifle, a damaged mortar shell, four M79 rounds, 16 grenades made in China, the Soviet Union and the United States (all of which were in good condition), and a grenade launcher made in the Soviet Union.

The bombs and guns found by the villagers were handed over to the Battambang City Police through the Svay Por police station for safe storage.
